This is how the thirteenth-century Vedanta philosopher Ramanuja interpreted the Gita and this interpretation provided the foundation for the ontology that he attributed to the entire Vedanta canon of Upanisads, Bhagavad Gita and Brahma/Vedanta Sutra that is collectively known as the triple foundation (Prasthanatraya). That ontology he called visistadvaita (qualified non-dualism), a label that accurately conveys the position adopted by Krsna in the Gita.
