Picture of yoga on One obtains bodily perfection by practicing [sic] Vajroli. This yoga produces merit and gives liberation even though pleasure is enjoyed.50 We may note that the latter passage is entirely missing from Sinh s translation, which has only 123 verses in chapter 3 as against Akers 130.51 This is the biggest difference between the two versions. The other verse differences across these translations are just two in chapter 1, none in chapter 2 and just one in chapter 4. So we might wonder why this particular passage was selected for exclusion. Hans-Ulrich Rieker s translation also omits these verses because, he claims, they describe a few obscure and repugnant practices that are followed by only those yogis who lack the will power to reach their goal otherwise.
