Diabetics are prone to arteriosclerosis (hardening of the arteries), high blood pressure, dry or damaged skin with poor healing qualities, poor circulation and oedema. Massage can lower blood sugar levels so a person who is diabetic may need something sweet (e.g. fruit juice) following a treatment.
