ENERGY GROUNDING SEQUENCE
A lack of grounding is a consequence of the modern way of life and the chronic condition in 99% of city dwellers. Our connection with the earth has been severely weakened. This results in emotional tension, mood swings, depression and inner dissatisfaction. This sequence grounds the energy, relieves stress, anxiety, and tension, structures the mind and teaches you to ground intentions and insights from higher planes, so that they may be manifested in physical reality.
1. START IN TADASANA
Place your feet hip width apart. Do not place them together as it decreases grounding effect. Open Pada chakras at the soles of the feet towards the earth.
INHALE, pull energy from the earth, through your feet, up into your body and to the top of your head.
EXHALE, releasing the flow down, directing the exhalation through your rooted feet back into the earth.
Place your feet just over a metre apart. Bend your knees at a 90 degree angle. Rotate your toes outward 45 degrees.
INHALE, raise the energy flow from the earth, up your feet and into your pelvis and stomach.
EXHALE out of your palms.
Stay for 4 breath cycles.
